Vision of the future

On April 22 and 23, Exponor will host the 10th edition of Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto, bringing together the leading players in the packaging, logistics, and automation sectors.

Today marked the opening of one of the leading gathering places for the plastics and rubber industries in the Iberian Peninsula, where companies, associations, and industry experts come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry’s future – from circularity and sustainability to technological innovation and industrial competitiveness.

The first episode dedicated to the Sustainable Plastics Mobilizing Agenda was broadcast on March 7, 2026, on the CNN Inovação program, a television show dedicated to promoting projects and initiatives that are driving innovation, technology, and sustainability in Portugal.

Next Saturday, February 28, the first episode of Agenda Sustainable Plastics will be broadcast on CNN Portugal in two episodes, at 9:48 a.m. and 4:29 p.m.

The transition to carbon neutrality requires a profound transformation of all sectors, particularly those that are most intensive in energy and raw materials, in order to meet national and European climate targets. This was one of the topics highlighted in the program “Sociedade Civil” (Civil Society), broadcast on RTP2, with the participation of Nuno Aguiar, Technical Director of APIP.

At a time when environmental and climate challenges dominate public debate, and extreme events are becoming increasingly frequent, it is important to reflect in an informed way on the contribution of the materials that shape our daily lives.

APIP will be present at Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto 2026, whose 10th edition will take place on April 22 and 23, 2026, at Exponor.

APIP will be present at Plastics & Rubber Spain 2026, one of the main meeting points for the plastics and rubber industries in the Iberian Peninsula, which will take place in Barcelona, at La Farga – L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, on March 11 and 12, 2026.

APIP is an institutional partner of the IX International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites, an initiative organized by AIMPLAS - Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico, which will take place on March 4 and 5, 2026, in Valencia, Spain.
