APIP wraps up Chinaplas 2026 with extensive networking
April 30, 2026
APIP’s final moments at Chinaplas 2026, represented by its President, Amaro Reis, and Executive Vice President, Pedro Paes do Amaral, were marked by extensive networking with various international industry organizations.
The Association continued to promote the Sustainable Plastics Green Agenda, a project co-financed by the PRR to the tune of 39 million euros, led by Logoplaste Innovation Lab, with the aim of driving the sector’s green transition toward an effective circular economy.
The WUPA – World Union of Plastics Associations was also promoted, a global initiative that brings together plastics industry associations from around the world, with the purpose of creating a unified, science-based voice, combating misinformation, and promoting sustainable and transparent practices. Its strategic role consists of strengthening a platform for international collaboration, focused on knowledge sharing, innovation, and enhancing dialogue with society.
A very special thank you to the China Processing Industry Association (CPPIA), in particular to Zhanjie Wang, President; Yan Tian, Vice President; Maggie Jian, Deputy Secretary-General; and Tina Tie, Assistant Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation, for their excellent hospitality and for strengthening institutional ties between both associations, opening new opportunities for cooperation and joint development.
We would also like to thank Kathy Xuan of Future Vantage LLC, Nina Mando of Adsale, Eric Wu of Weihai Rising Sun Filter, Miriam Olivi of Women in Plastics Italy, and Katia Aktay of Conexão Business Consulting for sharing their expertise, fostering synergies, and helping to strengthen APIP’s international presence.
