APIP and AIMPLAS are strengthening their cooperation in innovation and technological development.

APIP and AIMPLAS have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the ties between the Portuguese plastics industry and one of Europe’s leading technology centers specializing in this sector.
This collaboration will help drive joint initiatives in areas such as R&D, technology transfer, standardization, quality, training, laboratory testing, technical consulting, and the sharing of knowledge and specialized information.
In addition, APIP members will be able to benefit from preferential terms when accessing various AIMPLAS services, including:
- Specialized training programs;
- Laboratory analysis and testing services;
- Access to the Plastics Observatory, a competitive intelligence and technology watch tool.
As part of this collaboration, AIMPLAS will also serve as an Institutional Partner of the Plastics Summit – Global Event, helping to strengthen the international and technical-scientific dimensions of this initiative.
This agreement represents another step forward in APIP’s commitment to connecting its members with knowledge, technology, and specialized expertise, facilitating access to new tools and opportunities for the development of the Portuguese plastics industry.
