In 2026, World Standards Day highlights the contribution of standards to SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy, emphasizing their role in building safe, efficient, and reliable energy systems.

APIP participates in this commitment through ONS.APIP - the Sectoral Standardization Body, recognized by the Portuguese Institute for Quality (IPQ), which coordinates Technical Committees TC 58 - Plastics and TC 161 - Plastic Piping Systems for the Transport of Combustible Gases, while keeping pace with European and international standardization efforts.

A special thank you to the members of CT 58 and CT 161 for their expertise, availability, and dedication. Your contribution is essential to building consensus, ensuring the technical rigor of standards, and giving a voice to the Portuguese industry.

Participating in standardization means helping to build the sector’s future.
